US black/death metallers Catholicon, from Baton Rouge LA will be
releasing 'Treatise On The Abyss' in mid '06 on the KillZone label. Catholicon Raw, brutal black/death metal band Catholicon, are set to
record the album at Noise Farm Studio in Texas in July of this
year. "Treatise on the Abyss (which means the Book of Hell or
Laws of Hell)", says keyboardist/vocalist Blasphyre "The album is a
darker, more stripped down approach to what we've always done.
Musically, it is a progression forward but a more stripped down, raw
death metal album boiled down to the essence of what we are. "The band whose first self album 'Lost Chronicles Of The War In Heaven' was released in Europe on Rage of Achilies and their second album 'Death Throes Of Christianity' being touted for release on KillJoy's Baphomet label. Tracks have already been written include: Battle Hymn 666, God of the Cross, Enemies of the Faith and Bastard's Chattel. More news and updates will be posted soon.
